And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that the things which he possessed was his own;
but they had all things common.
Community in the Ancient Paths of Torah means to be a Kedoshim (Set Apart People). Kedoshim comes from Kadosh (Set Apart), or "Set Apart" Spirit. Each unique soul in Y'shua contributes to the Kedoshim, each soul is unique, we all have a unique physical appearance but we also have a unique soul and spirit that YHWH created each of us with. Our souls receive perfect Peace and Justice through the Word of YHWH as we are being transformed into the image of Elohim. As we elevate Y'shua, the Word of YHWH, we also elevate the value of each soul in our communities. The Kedoshim is the Goal of Mashiyach, Mashiyach is the goal of a Kedoshim. We are called to walk according to Y'shua and His Torah and develop His Character within our lives. We are a Mishpocha (family) who have One Father and Creator whose Name is Yahweh.
Most nations have a justice system that has consequences for murder and stealing, (two out of ten Commandments) but YHWH's people are called to a higher standard. We are called to establish community in YHWH according to abundant life, the consequences are blessings, peace, prosperity and equality for each soul who walks in all of His Commandments. Our Father YHWH has demonstrated to mankind through His Word that He welcomes all souls equally into His Kingdom regardless of race or culture, these are they who "fear Elohim" regardless of blood lines or cultural backgrounds.
Caleb is an example of a man who walked with YHWH and became joined with the Kedoshim. Caleb was a Kenezite, Kenaz was the grandson of Esau from which Kenezite ancestry came. Caleb was adopted by Faith into the Kingdom of Elohim and into the Tribe of Judah. Ruth the Moabitess is another who joined with YHWH into the Kedoshim. Becoming a Kedoshim (Holy People) is not about joining a group, it's about being transformed from the lower nature of man into the high calling of the righteousness of YHWH which brings genuine and Love and Justice.
It is impossible for one community or group of people to monopolize the values and attributes of the Kedoshim, YHWH will choose whom He wills. No individual other than Y'shua has been capable of demonstrating all the values of the Kingdom of Elohim perfectly. Through the Ruach HaKodesh we are given a "different Spirit" and we join in with this eternal Kedoshim (Holy People) of YHWH. YHWH says, "My servant Caleb...had another spirit within him, and has followed me fully, him will I bring into the land he went; and his seed shall possess it." (B'midbar/Numbers 14:24) Caleb and Avraham were both called and chosen to be servants of YHWH, and so is each one who follows Mashiyach and observes Torah.
A community which follows YHWH and seeks the Malchut (Kingdom) Elohim has many distinctions based on its unique character. Each soul is equal and vitally important to the whole body, therefore each soul does not live unto themselves or to satisfy "membership" requirements but as unto YHWH. Each soul is mindful of Sanctifying the Name of YHWH in their lives and mindful of the Universal family of Kedoshim. The community is far larger and more widespread than any one soul can imagine, it permeates all boundaries, here's how. Anyone who has ever cried out to YHWH in truth and sincerity and also repented for wrong doing, has made a connection with the Most High Elohim. That's what the Word of YHWH says, and it also says that YHWH will forgive their sins. Regardless of how far religion, humanism or paganism has taken souls away from YHWH, His Arm is not shortened that He cannot save.
He said that even if they forgot the Name of YHWH that He would hear them. YHWH says that if people prefer religion over Him that He will send them a strong delusion to believe a lie. But sometimes being thoroughly deceived is the only way that a person will come to realize that if they believed in one small lie, what then is stopping them from believing in a whole bunch of lies? Herein is where a Body of Believers must return to the Ancient Paths together as a people, and not be islands unto themselves.
Who then is my neighbor, who is my brother? Anyone who asks for forgiveness is part of the brotherhood, even though they might struggle with the weak flesh and take time to get their feet under them but the point is that once we turn to YHWH in His Mashiyach, there is no going back to a worldly lifestyle.
Religion divides people into two categories, called "us and them." True Faith in YHWH nurtures a value system based on Messiah Consciousness where each soul is given the benefit of the doubt, each soul holds potential greatness and is valued according to that which was done for each of us in Mashiyach Y'shua. In other words we serve each soul equally and expect each one is finding their way in Mashiyach.
There is another aspect to community which involves intimate fellowship within the Household of Faith, and this is where small groups of Netzarim Believers congregate to worship, study, pray and bring praise to the Master. This is a time to come out of the world and be separated people unto YHWH and rejoice in the good work that He is doing within His people!
As a community each one is devoted to a time of meditation and study of the Word of YHWH, stopping our lives for personal and private time with the Master.
Many values within the Kedoshim overlap into local and global communities as it pertains to health and wholesome living etc. We are called to be wise stewards of the resources we're given, including the air, water, food, but our time must also be sanctified unto YHWH. Our hearts and minds bear witness to the Covenant YHWH gave for us to walk in. There is no place in Scripture where one soul is called to be Holy or Set Apart in himself, mankind is called to be a people living and abiding together as family. It is impossible for a single person to walk in holiness by themselves, and it is also impossible for leadership and authority to always be directed by one man. Those who are called to follow Mashiyach and walk according to YHWH's instruction in righteousness are also called to establish a Beit Din and a Yeshiva where each soul is both protected and nurtured in what is Holy, Just and Good.
"The word of YHWH is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword"
In 2000 years nothing has changed regarding the standards that Y'shua taught and demonstrated for His people. None of these standards have been loosed just because most people have chosen to turn their backs on the Faith that was once delivered by Y'shua and Torah. The challenge we face today is similar to what as it was 2,000 years ago. We are to ascribe to a Kedoshim in Y'shua and learn to apply Love and Unity according to His Word and let Y'shua reconstruct us with the values of the One True Faith. The biggest distraction is to believe that we've already arrived. Many souls refer to themselves as Netzarim Believers or Jews, but it is the love for the Brethren that is the fruit of the true Faith. There are many who view the Netzarim Faith as another denomination, and these are seeking to teach the perfect theology but the reality is that perfection comes through demonstrating the Way of Mashiyach rather than talking about it.
The Netzarim community is not about being justified in sin, but by becoming a new creation in Mashiyach. There is a very large gulf between religion and the True Faith. The beautiful thing is, as we cross the gulf we know beforehand we will never be rejected by YHWH for putting Faith in Him and His Word. Religion will reject you for non-conformity, but YHWH is the Life Giver, He will never reject those who put their trust in Him. Wonderful things in Mashiyach begin to happen as each one seeks the "Ancient Path."
In the last "speech" Y'shua gave he said:
"Blessed are they who do His (YHWH's) Mitzvot (Commandments),
that they may have a right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city."
